Among other things, surface sensors are used for this. This information is displayed in real time in the <a href=\"https:\/\/smartcity.bamberg.de\/en\/projekte\/bamberg-app\/\">Bamberg app<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n                                            <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-12 col-lg-6 offset-lg-1 d-flex flex-column justify-content-center\" data-highlight-anchor-target>\n                                    <h2 class=\"h5\">Project description<\/h2>\n                                                    <p>The occupancy of parking spaces is recorded digitally and displayed in real time in the Bamberg app. The initial focus is on recording parking spaces for people with severe disabilities. In a second step, other parking spaces in public areas, such as public parking garages, can also be integrated. In cooperation with the municipal utilities and other operators, the information will be compiled on the data platform and made available on the Internet and in the Bamberg app. In a final step, it will be examined whether and how this information could be displayed on digital information boards.\r\nThis way, drivers know at a glance where the nearest free parking space is located. Efficient and environmentally friendly alternatives such as Park+Ride services as well as various parking garages are actively advertised to motivate drivers to use them and alleviate the tense
