Our vision for Bamberg
Instead of crawling around the city blocks in their cars, people can find a free parking space quickly and efficiently. The Park+Ride facilities are particularly popular: many people leave their cars there at low cost and can reach the city center within a few minutes by bus. This saves time, nerves and money for those looking for a parking space. In addition, traffic and the associated emissions are minimized, which benefits not only residents.
Technology
Ground sensors record the occupancy of the parking spaces. A digital application displays the available parking spaces in real time.

The original idea was: Free parking spaces are detected by ground sensors and displayed in real time in a digital application. This way, drivers know at a glance where the nearest free parking space is located. Efficient and environmentally friendly alternatives such as Park+Ride services and various parking garages are actively advertised to motivate drivers to use them and alleviate the tense parking situation in the city center.
