European municipal governments are shaping social change in collaboration with citizens. They act innovatively, responsibly, and in open dialogue with various stakeholders. Together, they develop solutions that pave the way for a climate-neutral future. This also strengthens trust in public institutions and fosters a vibrant democracy.
The GreenDemo project builds on the Smart City data platform. This platform will be used to facilitate the flow of data between the various departments, the Office for Citizen Participation, Press, and Public Relations, and bamberg-gestalten.
The city administration identifies which projects are planned for the coming year, particularly in the area of sustainability. This list of projects will then be reviewed to determine where and what type of public participation would be appropriate. The goal is to optimize public participation processes within the administration and communicate them transparently to the public. One option would be to provide information about future opportunities for public participation via bamberg-gestalten. In addition, background information on the projects—such as responsibilities, timelines, or current status—could be published there.
