Our vision for Bamberg

People in Bamberg help shape their city together. Associations, initiatives and committed people have a platform through which they can organize themselves and are thus optimally supported in their valuable work. At the same time, people who would like to get involved can quickly and easily find out where they can do so. This creates a lively network within urban society and space for exchange and cooperation.

Technology

The application will be based on an existing solution, the “wechange” software, and adapted to Bamberg’s needs. Bamberg-miteinander will initially be available as a browser application. A native app can be made available at a later date; the need for this is still being evaluated.

Project description

The “Bamberg-miteinander” application offers associations, initiatives and voluntary organizations the opportunity to present themselves on a central platform and thus find fellow campaigners. Conversely, interested parties have a contact point where they can quickly and easily search for opportunities to get involved. Bamberg-miteinander contains useful functions for working in associations and initiatives, such as shared calendars, group-internal chats and modules for joint task planning and coordination.

How Bamberg-miteinander can help

A resident is annoyed about the garbage in the park in front of her apartment.
She wants to do something about it, preferably together with others.
She finds a group on Bamberg-miteinander that wants to tackle precisely this waste problem.
She joins the group.
They exchange ideas and organize joint activities via Bamberg-miteinander.
